Winco Window Company Introduces New Thermally Advanced Product – 8325 Series

New series stands up to toughest energy codes

St. Louis  – WINCO Window Company has introduced its most thermally advanced window series, the 8325 series. The new product line helps architects easily meet the country’s strictest energy codes and LEED requirements by featuring some of the highest performing U-values in the marketplace.

“The new 8325 series is ideal for developers and architects who are seeking federal and state tax credits for energy efficient buildings,” says Kurtis Suellentrop, EIT, and vice president at WINCO. “Energy requirements in the  northeast and upper Midwest are quickly becoming stricter, and we expect the entire country to follow suit. In developing this product, we’ve added some special features that will set the WINCO product apart in the marketplace.”

All framing members of the WINCO windows are thermally broken with two glass reinforced polyamide struts that stitch the two aluminum extrusions together. Thermal strut involves two separate extrusions and joins them through the use of engineered structural polyamide. Both the inside and outside aluminum profiles are extruded independently with a cavity that will ultimately receive the strut. Each profile can be coated or anodized independently, allowing for design flexibility and potential cost savings.

WINCO is offering the 8325 series in two different perimeter frame profiles. The standard 8325 series includes a unique sloped exterior glazing leg, which gives the window an elegant, historic putty-glazed appearance while also allowing the system to easily integrate an exterior applied grid system. The 8325F(flat) includes a more contemporary flat exterior glazing leg, which lends itself better towards a more modern design application.

Another advantage WINCO offers is a modern Euro groove locking system that allows for operation and locking functions all in one. Hardware options are available to meet specific design requirements.

The 8325 series offers a 3-1/4” Architectural Grade Window System, projected as high as AW Grade AP-AW 120 with configurations having water penetration rating of 12 psf and higher in some cases. Glazing options include double and triple glazing. Integral blinds are also an available option for additional security and light control. Hurricane testing on the 8325F system is in the works and should be available in 2021.
